The house of Champagne Deutz in the village of Ay was established 1828. Their wines are generally described as elegant or pretty, and that is what I have found as well. Their vintage Blanc de Blancs in particular are well-respected if not seen very often, interesting for a Champagne house in the middle of Grande Cru Pinot Noir country.
The Brut Classic is a non vintage blend using all three of the main Champagne grapes. definitely in keeping with the aforementioned profile; the fruit characteristics including peach, apple and lemon myrtle.
The palate is light and fresh with a fine mousse and a strong support of acid to hang on makes this wine a light and elegant apéritif. Their website was so classically French I had to include a link for you. find it at the bottom of this page
