Ugo Lequio’s Triumphant 2019 Gallina
This wine from the historic and important Gallina Vineyard is on a roll. With a small handful of highly respected wineries working there in small parcels, it is highly sought after. We can sit around debating whether Piero or Ugo should be crowned as “King” of this treasured cru, or we get to work collectively gobbling up this generous little allocation. Karen O’Keefe called Ugo’s 2019 “the best Gallina she’s ever had” and gave it a whopping 96 points and I would not be surprised to see more scores coming in. It is borderline criminally under priced, and extremely limited. Get some, it will disappear quickly!
